Felicia strikes Hawaii
Courtesy of AccuWeather.
Tropical Storm Felicia made landfall last night and is crossing over Maui County, Hawaii throughout the day today. Heavy downpours are expected along with the potential for wind gusts as high as 40 mph.
Cold water and strong wind shear has essentially torn up Felicia. The storm is basically remnants of the former Cat 4 Hurricane. I expect the mountainous terrain of Maui, Lanai and Molokai to basically eliminate whatever punch Felicia has left. By tonight she should be only a tropical depression.
