Tropical Storm Warning

Updated: 8:00 pm Friday, August 21, 2009

Additional Information:
The Doppler Radar has detected evidence of tornadic activity in passing rain bands, just offshore of the western Parishes. As such there is a measurable risk, albeit small, of localised tornadoes touching down at isolated spots across the Island, especially towards the west, during the next couple of hours. These tornadoes are especially associated with bands of heavy rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Winds associated with tornadoes have the potential to be extremely damaging.
