Tropical Storm Maka


The Central Pacific Hurricane Center is issuing reports on Tropical Storm Maka which formed to the west-southwest of Johnson Atoll in the central Pacific. The forecast calls for Maka to intensify to hurricane status by Friday. Maka is currently moving to the west and is expected to move to the northwest in a day or two. Maka does not appear to be a threat to landmasses at this time.
